Tonight’s episode, called “Rent Uncollected,” centers around each character’s families. Baze tells his parents about Lux, and they insist on having her over for dinner along with Cate. Much to Cate’s dismay, her mom (played by the wonderful Cynthia Stevenson) and sister (guest star Alex Breckinridge) show up to dinner. Baze’s family is quite stuck up and awful, and Cate’s family is overbearing and neurotic. The dinner scene was one of Kris Polaha’s favorite moments from filming the show, as he said in my interview with him.
