The Kimmidoll Brand was conceived form a long standing passion with elegant decorative gift and homewares items influenced by Eastern culture. The traditional Japanese Kokeshi Doll is a perfect example of this simplistic Eastern beauty. The art of making Kokeshi Dolls dates back to the 19th century. They were originally hand crafted by peasant farmers to be given away as tokens of Love and Friendship. The true intent of Kokeshi Dolls was paramount in our development of Kimmidoll™. Our idea to create a range of more contemporary doll characters, each with an individual meaning expression one of the “Life’s True Values.” As a gift, Kimmidoll™ shares common beliefs and aspirations with friends and loved ones.
