TV Chick’s “Dead On” Review
Mar 2nd
Our beloved TV Chick (Alix Sternberg) reviews “Crisis Unaverted”. This review is a person favorite for episode 7…read and enjoy!
“The love triangle is fantastic, and Britt Robertson anchors the show so wonderfully as Lux. One of the things that I love the most is that it isn’t predictable in the least. Earlier in the episode, Lux has the option of going and stealing a dress with Tasha, but she denies. Old Lux would have jumped at this, but this shows how much she has grown as a character. This show isn’t about lying and cheating and screwing over friends — even if those things happen. The show at its core is about the characters, and this “bent or broken” family dealing with their relatively new life together. CW, we need more shows like Life Unexpected! Please renew it! Soon!” MUCH MORE HERE

Life Unexpected Quotes
“We were just hanging out.” – Lux
“That’s how you hang out – you let some random guy suffocate you with his mouth?” – Baze
“A guy named ‘Bug’ didn’t raise some concerns?” – Baze
“The only Spanish word she knows is ‘nachos’.” – Lux
“Ryan, how do you date her without killing her?” – Baze
“I just, I don’t even know what I did that was so wrong. What? Was it that I got you into a good school or that I didn’t let you dry-hump spiderneck guy?” – Cate
Series creator Liz Tigelaar wrote RENT UNCOLLECTED and the episode will air on February 1st, 2010 on THE CW.
Review of lifeUNEXPECTED: episodes 1-3

Lux is the center and the heart of Life UneXpected and Brittany Robertson nails the role. She is tough, vulnerable, cynical, and hopeful all at once, completely charming and utterly likeable. Shiri Appleby and Kristoffer Polaha are also outstanding in their roles as the bickering, well-meaning but out-of-their depth parents. Kerr Smith shines in his supporting role as Cate’s on-air partner and off-air fiancé, and I’m looking forward to watching the inevitable love triangle because it looks to be a fun ride: messy and real with no bad guy. The other supporting characters help give the show depth: Lux had made a family for herself with other foster kids and they are ambivalent about Lux’s new fortune while Cate and Baze’s families are less than optimistic about their ability to be parents, as we learn in episode three, “Rent UnCollected.”
